October 15th

Volunteer with DEI Committee at Latino Food Bank at 7108 Hull St Rd Richmond, VA 23235.

Help distribute food items, pantry staples, and supplies to Latino residents in the community.

There is a day shift and an evening shift from 4-7pm.

Greet EARLY Voters at the Polls

We need to show up for our voters and candidates during early voting...EVERY DAY!
Our job is putting our blue candidate slips in voters' hands to make sure they are aware of who
the Dems are, and we can connect voters with help if they need any assistance in casting their ballot.

Volunteers are needed to help set up for the day with tents and tables, people to hand out slips, engage with voters and break down at the end of each day.

*This is an activity that requires a lot of standing to engage voters in an impactful way, you are welcome to bring a chair for breaks *Bathrooms and water fountains are available inside the library

November 5th Greeters at the Polls

On Election Day, Democratic volunteers are needed at Chesterfield's voting precincts to:

FIRST SHIFT:

•Deliver and "plant" our candidates' signs at polling places before the polls open

•Set up our oversized Democratic Ticket sign at least 40 ft from voter entrance

•(optional) Set up a table/canopy and decorate with fun patriotic flair!

ALL SHIFTS:

•Greet voters with a smile before they enter the polling place

•Offer voters our blue Democratic Candidate Lists

•Help voters with problems and contact Voter Protection as needed

•Assist disabled voters with getting help from Officers of Election for curbside voting

•Request voter turnout numbers from Officers of Election

•Remove Democratic Ticket sign and any Democratic candidate signs left behind - last shift

A lot of our usual “outside” volunteers have transitioned to “inside” this year, so we will have fewer volunteers available. You are encouraged to bring a chair and snacks! Pick-up of oversized Democratic Ticket signs and precinct packets will be arranged prior to Election Day.
